How to build domain‑specific AI agents

General-purpose AI agents fail in specialized domains. They're excellent most of the time, then subtly wrong in the edge cases that matter most. Domain specialization is the architectural shift that fixes this.

Join this workshop to learn how to specialize AI agents using four levers:

  • System prompt: Scope AI agent behavior with domain-specific instructions, tone, and response structure
  • Knowledge corpus: Curate retrieval sources with Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases — product catalogs, domain FAQs, operational constraints as grounding context
  • Tool selection: Wire domain-appropriate tools (search APIs, location services, voice pipelines) as scoped AI agent capabilities
  • Guardrails: Enforce domain constraints with Amazon Bedrock Guardrails — content filtering, PII redaction, output formatting

Demonstrated across customer engagement, logistics, and voice domains with Algolia AI Search, Mapbox Location Services, and Deepgram Voice AI.
